A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Teen Miss Dacula 2011 Caroline Hope Crumley; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Caroline Hope Crumley has shown by the example of her academic accomplishments and extracurricular involvement that the pursuit and attainment of excellence are within the reach of the students in this state; and

WHEREAS, a freshman at Dacula High School, Caroline recently earned the prestigious title of Teen Miss Dacula 2011; and

WHEREAS, Caroline is a dedicated student at Dacula High School, volunteering at the Teacher of the Year Reception, the Celebration of Learning, and Honors Night; and

WHEREAS, committed to uplifting the lives of others through service to her community, Caroline has been an active volunteer with the Gwinnett County Relay for Life, Gwinnett County Special Olympics, Walk for Autism Speaks Now, and Day of Hope in Lawrenceville; and

WHEREAS, by the end of her reign as Teen Miss Dacula, Caroline will have volunteered over 200 hours of community service and is in line to receive two gold medals from the President's Council on Civic Service and Volunteerism; and

WHEREAS, all Georgians are proud of young people who, like Caroline, represent the very best that this state has to offer; and

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks forward with great anticipation to the promising and bright future of this remarkable young citizen.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate Caroline Hope Crumley on being named Teen Miss Dacula 2011 and extend to her their best wishes for her near and distant future.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Teen Miss Dacula 2011 Caroline Hope Crumley.
