A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Mr. Rob Garcia; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mr. Rob Garcia has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, an executive for Bank of North Georgia, Mr. Garcia has recently been selected to provide leadership and guidance to the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce as Chairperson; and

WHEREAS, with a 2010 theme of "Energizing Our Future," Mr. Garcia plans to lead the Cobb County Chamber in increasing economic development in Cobb County and strengthening the government's role in advocacy on behalf of local businesses; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Garcia will continue to provide insight and expertise in leadership roles with the chamber's transportation, water, education, and workforce development committees; and

WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted his time, talent, and energy to improving the lives of Cobb County residents and attracting new small businesses to the area; and

WHEREAS, his significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable patience and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of Cobb County have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mr. Rob Garcia on his dedicated service to the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and his many contributions to his community and the State of Georgia and congratulate him upon his selection as chairman.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Rob Garcia.
