A
RESOLUTION
Honoring
and celebrating the 100th birthday of Jeanie V. Gray; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Jeanie V. Gray was born on April 3, 1912, in Richmond County, Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
a woman of deep and abiding faith, Jeanie has been a faithful member of Mt.
Calvary Baptist Church for 82 years and has served in various capacities in the
ministries of the church; and
WHEREAS,
Jeanie was united in love and marriage to Jesse Gray, Sr., and was blessed with
five remarkable children, Loran, Samuella, James, Jesse, and Descombe;
and
WHEREAS,
her spiritual guidance, longevity, and outstanding Christian service
demonstrated throughout her church and community serves as an example and
inspiration for all of the faith community; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, fairness, and kindness, and, by the example she has made of her life,
she makes this world a better place in which to live; and
WHEREAS,
it is only fitting and proper that she be appropriately recognized during this
very special and memorable time of her life.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in commending Jeanie V. Gray on the occasion of her 100th
birthday and wishing her many more years of happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Jeanie V.
Gray.
