A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Mr. Lorenzo T. Suarez II; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, our nation's security continues to rely on patriotic men and women who put their personal lives on hold in order to place themselves in harm's way to protect the freedoms that all United States citizens cherish; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Lorenzo T. Suarez II graduated from Milton High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University, where he majored in economics and was a member of the Army ROTC; and

WHEREAS, upon his graduation from Wake Forest University, Mr. Suarez was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant, Field Artillery with the United States Army, received training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas; and

WHEREAS, he is currently a member of the 6/9th Calvary, 1st calvary Division at Fort Hood and will be deployed to Tallil, Iraq, as a member of Operation New Dawn; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Suarez embodies the spirit of service, willing to find meaning in something greater than himself while serving as a guardian of this nation's freedom, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished American be recognized appropriately.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mr. Lorenzo T. Suarez II for his deep personal commitment to protecting democracy and extend to him their support and best wishes for a safe upcoming deployment.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Lorenzo T. Suarez II.
