AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating a new charter for the City of Glennville, approved August
21, 1911 (Ga. L. 1911, p. 1228), as amended, particularly by an Act approved
March 22, 1990 (Ga. L. 1990, p. 4466), and by an Act approved April 28, 2006
(Ga. L. 2006, p. 3756), so as to change the corporate limits of the city; to
repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating a new charter for the City of Glennville, approved August 21, 1911
(Ga. L. 1911, p. 1228), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March 22,
1990 (Ga. L. 1990, p. 4466), and by an Act approved April 28, 2006 (Ga. L. 2006,
p. 3756), is amended by adding a new section immediately following Section 2C to
read as follows:
"SECTION
2D.
In
addition to any territory lying within the corporate limits of the City of
Glennville, such corporate limits shall also include the following:
All
that certain lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the 1432d
G.M. District of Tattnall County, Georgia, containing 200.385 acres, more or
less, being irregularly shaped and described by metes, bounds, courses and
distances as follows:
BEGINNING
AT A POINT that is the southwest-most corner of lands owned by Pinnacle Towers,
Inc., where the same joins lands of Lyndal A. Rogers, on the existing City
Limits of the City of Glennville at a concrete marker, thence running along a
line S 54º 24' 29" E, a distance of 911.12 feet to a point; thence turning
and running along a line N 40º 29' 32" E, a distance of 887.81 feet to a
point; thence turning and running along a line S 24º 58' 49" E, a distance
of 164.52 feet to a point; thence turning and running along a line S 40º
22' 15" W, a distance of 239.37 feet to a point; thence turning and running
along a line S 35º 33' 42" E, a distance of 844.42 feet to a point; thence
turning and running along a line N 39º 58' 44" E, a distance of 231.07 feet
to a point; thence turning and running along a line S 71º 23' 34" E, a
distance of 175.88 feet to a point; thence turning and running along a line S
45º 35' 21" E, a distance of 156.47 feet; thence turning and running along

line N 55º 48' 16" E, a distance of 1416.72 feet to a point; thence turning
and running along a line N 81º 54' 59" E, a distance of 300.79 feet to a
point; thence turning and running along a line N 82º 26' 36" E, a distance
of 114.83 feet to a point; thence turning and running along a line N 56º
12' 58" W, a distance of 1803.27 feet to a point; thence turning and running
along a line N 33º 47' 02" E, a distance of 250.92 feet to a point; thence
turning and running along a line N 56º 12' 58" W, a distance of 250.00 feet
to a point; thence turning and running along a line S 44º 33' 07" W, a
distance of 256.95 feet to a point; thence turning and running along a line S
66º 19' 08" W, a distance of 80 feet to a point; thence turning and running
along a line N 38º 07' 42" W, a distance of 268.77 feet to a point; thence
turning and running along a line N 52º 34' 32" W, a distance of 940.32 feet
to a point; thence turning and running along a line N 49º 51' 40" W, a
distance of 58.08 feet to a point; thence turning and running along a line N
35º 45' 42" E, a distance of 1116.50 feet to THE POINT OF BEGINNING. Said
property is more particularly shown by metes, bounds, courses and distances on a
plat of survey prepared by Paul S. Buchele, Georgia Registered Land Surveyor No.
2633, dated February 25, 2009. Said plat is incorporated herein by reference
for descriptive and all other purposes. Said property is all owned by the City
of Glennville upon which is situated its constructed wetlands wastewater
treatment facility."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
