BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act providing for the election of the members of the Board of Education
of Bryan County, approved March 16, 1978 (Ga. L. 1978, p. 3774), as amended, so
as to provide for compensation of members of the board; to provide an effective
date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act providing for the election of the members of the Board of Education of Bryan
County, approved March 16, 1978 (Ga. L. 1978, p. 3774), as amended, is amended
by adding after Section 1 a new section to read as follows:
"SECTION
1A.
Each
member of the Board of Education of Bryan County shall be compensated in the
amount of $150.00 for each day of attendance at meetings of the board but not to
exceed a total of $300.00 in any calendar month."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or becomes law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
