BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Article 1 of Chapter 2 of Title 44 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, relating to recording of deeds and other instruments, so as to
require recorded deeds to disclose the inclusion or exclusion of mineral rights;
to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Article
1 of Chapter 2 of Title 44 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to recording of deeds and other instruments, is amended by adding a new Code
section to read as follows:
"44-2-31.
Every
deed conveying lands recorded on or after July 1, 2009, shall include a
disclosure that the conveyance specifically includes or excludes mineral
rights."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
