DELAWARE STATE SENATE

145th GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SENATE BILL NO. 199

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE STATE EMPLOYEE BENEFIT COMMITTEE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1.Amend Section 9602(a), Title 29 of the Delaware Code by striking the word "and" after the word "Finance".

Section 2. Amend Section 9602(a), Title 29 of the Delaware Code by striking the phrase "or their designees" after the phrase "Services," and inserting the following: "the President of the Delaware State Education Association, the Executive Director of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the President of the Delaware State Troopers Association, or their designees.In addition, there will be one retired Delaware public employee appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate."

SYNOPSIS

The Legislation expands the composition of the State Employee Benefits Committee and provides Delaware public employees and retirees with representation on the State Employee Benefits Committee.
