SENATE BILL NO. 129

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 7 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO COYOTES.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


Section 1.Amend Subchapter VII, Chapter 7, Title 7, Delaware Code by inserting "and the coyote [canis latrans]" after "groundhog" each time it occurs therein.

Section 2.Amend �797, Title 7, Delaware Code by deleting "animal" as it appears therein and by inserting in lieu thereof "animals".


SYNOPSIS

Coyotes are becoming more of a problem in Delaware as their population continues to increase.This Act would designate the coyote as wildlife which is not protected in Delaware.
