HOUSE BILL NO. 413

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO STATE PROCUREMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1.Amend §6902(1), Title 29 of the Delaware Code by adding "and the Insurance Department of this State," between "Delaware State University" and "but shall not include" where it appears in the first sentence of the final undesignated paragraph of the definition of "Agency" in §6902(1).

SYNOPSIS

This bill clarifies that the Insurance Department of the State is subject to State Procurement laws, including professional services contracts.
