AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO LOBBYISTS. |
Section 1.Amend §5837, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by renumbering it as §5838 and substituting in lieu thereof a new §5837 as follows:
"� 5837.Lobbying restrictions for members of the General Assembly.
No person who has served as a member of the General Assembly shall act as a lobbyist for a period of one year after such person's term of office ends.Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of an unclassified misdemeanor."
Section 2.This bill shall take effect on January 10, 2012.
