HOUSE BILL NO. 29

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 7 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO TRANSPARENCY OF INFORMATION ON RECYCLING WASTE SERVICES BILLINGS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1.Amend §6053(1)(c), Subchapter III, Chapter 60, Title 7 of the Delaware Code by striking said paragraph in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following paragraph:

"(c) All single-family residential and on-premise sales customers with a single charge for the collection of waste and recyclables on their ‘waste services' bill.However, the bill shall delineate the individual costs of the recycling and waste disposal services.".

Section 2.This Act shall become effective 90 days after enactment.

SYNOPSIS

This legislation requires delineation of the cost of the collection of waste from the cost of the collection of recyclables on all single-family residential and on-premise sales customers' bills.
