HOUSE BILL NO. 209
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 RELATING TO EPILOGUE LANGUAGE IN THE BUDGET BILL.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 914 Epilogue Restrictions of Budget Bill
Epilogue language in the Budget Bill shall not disregard or waive existing language in the Delaware Code for more than two consecutive years.
SYNOPSIS
This Act is meant to prohibit the practice of waiving certain sections of the Delaware Code year after year through the use of epilogue language in the budget bill.
