HOUSE BILL NO. 126

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1.Amend §10002(d) of Title 29 of the Delaware Code by striking said section in its entirety and inserting the following in place thereof:

"(d) "Public body," "public record" and "meeting", as defined in this Chapter, shall include all activities of the University of Delaware and Delaware State University relating to the expenditure of public funds, including the Board of Trustees of each University which shall be a "public body", and documents of each University relating to the expenditure of public funds shall be "public records", and all meetings of the Board of Trustees of each University shall be a "meeting.".

SYNOPSIS

This Act defines "public body", "public record" and "meeting" to include the University of Delaware and Delaware State University, and their respective Board of Trustees.
