   Relative to the United States Women's National Soccer Team.

   SCR 80, as amended, Runner. The United States Women's National
Soccer Team: 2015 World Cup.
   This  resolution   measure  would
congratulate the United States Women's National Soccer Team on its
impressive and historic World Cup victory on July 5, 2015.
   Fiscal committee: no.



   WHEREAS, The United States Women's National Soccer Team decisively
won the 2015 Women's World Cup on July 5, 2015; and
   WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1991, the United States has won
the Women's World Cup three  times - in  
times--in  1991, 1999, and  2015 - which is 
 2015--which are  the most world championship titles held by
any country; and
   WHEREAS, Six of the 23 extremely talented and dedicated players on
the roster list their hometowns as being in California; 
now, therefore, be it   and  
   WHEREAS, California has the highest number of players on the
United States Women's National Soccer Team; now, therefore, be it

   Resolved by the Senate of the State of California, the Assembly
thereof concurring, That the United States Women's National Soccer
Team is hereby congratulated on its impressive and historic 2015
World Cup victory; and be it further
   Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate shall transmit copies
of this resolution to the United States Soccer Federation, the
governing body for soccer in our country, and to the author for
appropriate distribution.
