   An act to amend Section 15504 of the Elections Code, relating to
elections.



	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 779, as introduced, Walters. Elections: certificate of election
or nomination.
   Existing law requires the Secretary of State to provide a
certificate of election or nomination to each elected or nominated
person.
   This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to this provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 15504 of the Elections Code is amended to read:

   15504.  The Secretary of State shall  make out 
 prepare  and deliver, or transmit by mail, a certificate of
election or nomination to each person elected or nominated.
