   An act to amend Section 62 of the Labor Code, relating to
employment.



	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 666, as introduced, Steinberg. Department of Industrial
Relations: expenditures.
   Existing law provides parameters for the expenditure of moneys
appropriated to the Department of Industrial Relations for the
administration of the provisions of labor laws.
   This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 62 of the Labor Code is amended to read:
   62.  The department may expend  money  
moneys  appropriated for the administration of the provisions of
the laws, the enforcement of which is committed to the department.
The department may expend  such money   those
moneys  for the use, support, or maintenance of any commission
or office of the department. Such expenditures by the department
shall be made in accordance with law in carrying on the work for
which  such   the  appropriations were
made.
