CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2017–2018 REGULAR SESSION

Senate Bill No. 593

Introduced by Senator Roth

February 17, 2017

An act to amend Section 52 of the Labor Code, relating to employment.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 593, as introduced, Roth. Employment.
Existing law establishes the Department of Industrial Relations in the Labor and Workforce Development Agency and specifies that certain provisions relating to departments of the state govern and apply to the conduct of the department.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.
Vote: MAJORITY   Appropriation: NO   Fiscal Committee: NO   Local Program: NO

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 52 of the Labor Code is amended to read:

52.
Except as otherwise prescribed in this code, the provisions of the Government Code relating to departments of the State state shall govern and apply to the conduct of the department.
