An act relating to banking.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 395, as introduced, Block. Banking Law.
Existing Law, the Banking Law, provides for the regulation of
banks by the Commissioner of Business Oversight.
This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would educate consumers about the importance of
establishing savings accounts in banks for children.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would educate consumers about the importance of
establishing savings accounts in banks for children.
