Senate Bill No. 308

Introduced by Senator Wieckowski

February 13, 2017

An act to amend Section 3005 of the Public Resources Code, relating to oil and gas.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 308, as introduced, Wieckowski. Oil and gas: definitions.
Existing law requires a person who acquires the right to operate a well or production facility to notify the State Oil and Gas Supervisor or the oil and gas district deputy of the person’s operation, as provided. Existing law defines “person” for purposes of this law as an individual, firm, association, corporation, or other combination acting as a unit.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the definition of “person.”
