An act to amend Section 5030 of the Vehicle Code, relating to vehicles.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 256, as introduced, Grove. License plates: motorized bicycles.

Existing law requires a motorized bicycle to display a special license plate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 Section 5030 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:

5030.

 A motorized bicycle, as defined in Section 406, is required to shall display a special license plate issued by the department.
