   An act to amend and renumber Section 250 of the Financial Code,
relating to financial institutions.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 218, as introduced, Vargas. Commissioner of Financial
Institutions.
   Existing law authorizes the Commissioner of Financial Institutions
to have an office in the City of Sacramento, the City of Los
Angeles, the City of San Diego, the City and County of San Francisco,
or any other location in the state that he or she considers
appropriate.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantial change by
amending and renumbering this section of law.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 250 of the Financial Code is amended and
renumbered to read:
    250.   370.   The commissioner may have
an office in the City of Sacramento, the City of Los Angeles, the
City of San Diego, the City and County of San Francisco, or any other
location in the state that he or she considers appropriate. The
commissioner shall provide at the expense of the department such
office space, furniture, and equipment as may be necessary or
convenient for the transaction of the business of the department.
