An act to amend Section 1429 of the Civil Code, relating to legal obligations.

SB 1405, as introduced, Skinner. Legal obligations.
Existing civil law establishes rules governing the interpretation of contracts, as prescribed, and provides that other obligations are interpreted by the same rules by which statutes of a similar nature are interpreted.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 1429 of the Civil Code is amended to read:

1429.
 The rules which that govern the interpretation of contracts are prescribed by Part II 2 of this Division. division. Other obligations are interpreted by the same rules by which statutes of a similar nature are interpreted.
