An act to amend Section 50001 of the Government Code, relating to local government.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 Section 50001 of the Government Code is amended to read:

50001.

 “Local agency” as used in this division means county, city, or city and county, unless the context otherwise requires. requires otherwise.
