   An act to amend Section 22009 of the Government Code, relating to
public retirement.

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

   SB 1082, as introduced, Ashburn. Public retirement: social

system is required, upon application by a public agency, as defined,
to execute an agreement with the federal government for the coverage
of the public employees of the agency under the federal Social

   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to the
provision of law that defines those entities that constitute a
"public agency" that is eligible to execute an agreement for coverage
under the federal Social Security Act.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
