An act to amend Section 1500 of the Vehicle Code, relating to vehicles.

Existing law establishes the Department of Motor Vehicles in the Transportation Agency and sets forth the powers and duties of the department, as specified.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 1500 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:

1500.
 (a) There is in the Transportation Agency the Department of Motor Vehicles.
(b) Whenever the term “Business, Transportation and Housing Agency” appears within the Vehicle Code, it shall refer in this code, it refers to the Transportation Agency, and whenever the term “Secretary of Business, Transportation and Housing” appears within the Vehicle Code, it shall refer in this code, it refers to the Secretary of Transportation.
