An act to amend Section 33000 of the Education Code, relating to the State Board of Education.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


SB 1065, as introduced, Mendoza. State Board of Education.
Existing law establishes the State Board of Education to consist of 10 members appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of 2/3 of the Senate.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to these State Board of Education provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 33000 of the Education Code is amended to read:

33000.
 There is established in the state government a State Board of Education, consisting of 10 members, who are appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of two-thirds of the Senate.
