An act to amend Section 1569 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to residential care facilities for the elderly.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 941, as introduced, Voepel. Residential care facilities for the elderly.

Existing law, the California Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly Act, provides for the licensure and regulation of residential care facilities for the elderly by the State Department of Social Services. A violation of these provisions is a misdemeanor. Existing law establishes specified rights for residents of residential care facilities for the elderly.

This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to a provision of the act.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 Section 1569 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read:

1569.

 This chapter shall be known known, and may be cited cited, as the California Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly Act.
