An act to amend Section 10261.7 of the Public Contract Code, relating to public contracts.

AB 790, as introduced, Hoover.
Construction contract payments: internet website posting.
Existing law, the State Contract Act, requires a state agency that maintains an internet website to post specified information relating to construction contracts within 10 days of making a construction contract payment, except as specified.
This bill would increase the number of days within which a state agency is required to post the information to its internet website from 10 to 15 days.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 10261.7 of the Public Contract Code is amended to read:10261.7.
(a) Within(1) The project for which the payment was made.
(2) The name of the construction contractor or company paid.
(3) The date the payment was made or the date the state agency transmitted instructions to the Controller or other payer to make the payment.
(4) The payment application number or other identifying information.
(5) The amount of the payment.
(b) This section shall not apply to a construction contract valued below twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000).
(c) This section shall not apply to progress payments published under Section 10262.3.
