An act to amend Section 14010 of the Government Code, relating to transportation.

AB 788, as amended, Frazier. Department of Transportation: administration.
Existing law establishes the Department of Transportation in the Transportation Agency. Existing law provides that the department has possession and control of all property, real or personal, held for the benefit, use, or obligation of the Department of Aeronautics, the Department of Public Works, and the Office of Transportation Planning and Research in connection with the functions of those former organizations that were transferred to or vested in the department.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions. additionally provide that the Department of Transportation has possession and control of all supporting documentation and data, electronic or otherwise, held for the benefit, use, or obligation of the Department of Aeronautics, the Department of Public Works, and the Office of Transportation Planning and Research in connection with the functions of those former organizations that were transferred to or vested in the department.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 14010 of the Government Code is amended to read:

14010.
 The department shall have possession and control of all licenses, permits, leases, agreements, contracts, orders, claims, judgments, records, papers, equipment, supplies, bonds, moneys, funds, appropriations, buildings, land, supporting documentation, data, electronic or otherwise, and other property, real or personal, held for the benefit, use, or obligation of the Department of Aeronautics, the Department of Public Works, and the Office of Transportation Planning and Research in connection with the functions of those organizations that are transferred to or vested in the department.
