An act relating to public social services.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 729, as introduced, Grove. Public welfare benefits: time limit.
Existing law establishes various social service programs that
provide cash assistance and other benefits to qualified low-income
families and individuals.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to limit the amount of time a recipient may receive
public welfare benefits.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to limit the amount of time a recipient may receive
public welfare benefits.
