LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 698, as introduced, Chávez.
School libraries: county superintendent of schools: report.
Existing law requires a county superintendent of schools, when he or she has assumed responsibility for the establishment of a library or the performance of library services, to submit a specified annual report on or before August 31 to the State Department of Education on the condition of the libraries under his or her supervision.
This bill instead would require that specified annual report to be submitted to the department on or before September 30.
