An act relating to privacy.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 599, as introduced, Pan. Privacy: medical information.
Existing law, the Confidentiality of Medical Information Act,
regulates the disclosure of medical information, as defined, by a
provider of health care.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation relating to the privacy of medical information.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation relating to the privacy of medical information.
