An act to amend Section 66700 of the Education Code, relating to
the California Community Colleges.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 460, as introduced, Cedillo. California Community Colleges.
Existing law establishes the California Community Colleges as one
of the segments of postsecondary education in the state. Existing law
requires the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges
to prescribe minimum standards for the formation and operation of
the California Community Colleges, and to exercise general
supervision over the California Community Colleges.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to this
requirement.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 66700 of the Education Code is amended to read:
66700. The California Community Colleges are postsecondary
schools and shall continue to be a part of the public school system
of this state. The Board of Governors of the California Community
Colleges shall prescribe minimum standards for the formation and
operation of the California Community Colleges and shall
exercise general supervision over the California Community Colleges.
