An act to amend Section 104755 of the Health and Safety Code,
relating to public health.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 437, as introduced, Pan. State Department of Public Health:
dental program.
Existing law establishes the State Department of Public Health and
sets forth its powers and duties, including, but not limited to,
administration of provisions relating to disease prevention and
health promotion. Existing law requires the department to maintain a
dental program that includes prescribed components and to appoint a
dentist licensed in California to administer the program.
This bill would delete the requirement that the licensed dentist
appointed to administer the program be licensed in California.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 104755 of the Health and Safety Code is amended
to read:
104755. The director shall appoint a licensed dentist
licensed in the State of California to administer
the dental program.
