An act relating to code enforcement officers.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 427, as introduced, Silva. Code enforcement officers.
Existing law establishes various categories of law enforcement
officers with various powers, as specified.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would codify minimum professional standards
necessary for a person to perform the functions of a code enforcement
officer.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would codify minimum professional standards
necessary for a person to perform the functions of a code enforcement
officer.
