An act to amend Section 17500 of the Penal Code, relating to deadly weapons.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 3189, as introduced, Hart. Control of deadly weapons.
Existing law, generally, defines various deadly weapons and regulates the manufacture, possession, sale, transfer, and carrying of these weapons, including firearms.
Existing law prohibits carrying a deadly weapon with the intent to assault. A violation of this prohibition is a misdemeanor.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 17500 of the Penal Code is amended to read:

17500.
 Every person having upon the person any deadly weapon, with intent to assault another, another person, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
