CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE—
2023–2024 REGULAR SESSION
Assembly Bill
No. 3189
Introduced by Assembly Member Hart |
February 16, 2024 |
An act to amend Section 17500 of the Penal Code, relating to deadly weapons.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 3189, as introduced, Hart.
Control of deadly weapons.
Existing law, generally, defines various deadly weapons and regulates the manufacture, possession, sale, transfer, and carrying of these weapons, including firearms.
Existing law prohibits carrying a deadly weapon with the intent to assault. A violation of this prohibition is a misdemeanor.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.
