An act to amend Section 7328 of the Labor Code, relating to window
cleaners.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 2622, as introduced, Fong. Window cleaners: safety devices:
misdemeanor.
Existing law requires that buildings, as defined, install or use
specified safety mechanisms for the protection of persons engaged in
cleaning windows of buildings. Under existing law, any person
employing, directing, or permitting another to do or perform labor on
windows that do not have the specified safety devices shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these
provisions.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 7328 of the Labor Code is amended to read:
7328. Any A person employing,
directing , or permitting another to do or perform
any labor upon any windows
which have not that do not have the
safety devices as provided for in Sections 7326 and 7327
shall be is guilty of a misdemeanor.
