	BILL TEXT

INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Jones

                        FEBRUARY 19, 2016

An act to amend Section 152 of the Business and Professions Code,
relating to professions and vocations.

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2421, as introduced, Jones. Professions and vocations.
Existing law provides for the licensure and regulation of various
professions and vocations by boards within the Department of Consumer
Affairs, and places the department under the control of the Director
of Consumer Affairs. Existing law requires the reregistration and
clerical work of the department to be organized by the director,
subject to the approval of the Governor, in a manner deemed necessary
to properly segregate and conduct the work of the department.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 152 of the Business and Professions Code is
amended to read:
   152. For the purpose of administration, the reregistration and
clerical work of the department is organized by the director, subject
to the approval of the Governor, in such a
manner as he or she deems
necessary to properly to segregate and
conduct the work of the department.
