An act to amend Section 132400 of the Public Utilities Code, relating to the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority. relating to transportation, and making an appropriation therefor.

AB 215, as amended, Rodriguez. Metro Gold Line Los Angeles-Pasadena Foothill Extension Construction Authority. Gold Line light rail project: San Bernardino County Transportation Authority.

Existing law creates the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority for the purpose of awarding and overseeing all design and construction contracts for completion of the Los Angeles-Pasadena Foothill Extension Gold Line light rail project, and defines specified terms relating to that authority and project. identifies the City of Montclair, which is in the County of Bernardino, as an “extension city.”

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to those provisions. appropriate $30,000,000 from the General Fund to the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority for the purpose of funding the project extension to the City of Montclair.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 The sum of thirty million dollars ($30,000,000) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund to the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority for the purpose of funding the Los Angeles-Pasadena Foothill Extension Gold Line light rail project extension to the City of Montclair.

SECTION 1.Section 132400 of the Public Utilities Code is amended to read:

132400.

For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions apply:

(a)The “authority” is the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority created under this chapter, formerly known as the Pasadena Metro Blue Line Construction Authority.

(b)The “board” is the governing board of the authority.

(c)The “commission” is the California Transportation Commission.

(d)The “LACMTA” is the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

(e)The “project” is the Los Angeles-Pasadena Foothill Extension Gold Line light rail project, formerly known as the Los Angeles-Pasadena Metro Blue Line, extending from Union Station in the City of Los Angeles to Sierra Madre Villa Boulevard in the City of Pasadena and any mass transit guideway that may be planned east of Sierra Madre Villa Boulevard along the rail right-of-way extending to the City of Montclair.

(f)The “extension cities” are the Cities of Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, Irwindale, Azusa, Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont, and Montclair.
