BILL NUMBER: AB 2070 INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Monning FEBRUARY 18, 2010 An act to amend Section 14082 of the Food and Agricultural Code, relating to fumigants. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2070, as introduced, Monning. Fumigants: methyl bromide and chloropicrin. Existing law authorizes the Director of Pesticide Regulation to prescribe the time and conditions under which methyl bromide and chloropicrin may be used, as specified. This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to those provisions. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 14082 of the Food and Agricultural Code is amended to read: 14082. The director may prescribe thetimetimes when, and the conditions under which, methyl bromide and chloropicrin may be used in different areas of the state.
