LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2024, as introduced, Fong. Vehicle registration.
Existing law prohibits a person from driving, moving, or leaving standing upon a highway any motor vehicle unless it is registered and the appropriate fees have been paid. Existing law, except as specified, requires an application for registration to be made to the department within 20 days following the date registration became due when California registration is required of a vehicle last registered in a foreign jurisdiction.
The bill would instead require an application for registration to be made to the department within 30 days following the registration became due.
