LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 1986, as introduced, Nazarian.
Health facilities.
Existing law requires the State Department of Public Health to license and regulate health facilities, defined to mean facilities, places, or buildings that are organized, maintained, and operated for the diagnosis, care, prevention, and treatment of human illness, including, among others, general acute care hospitals, acute psychiatric hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities.
This bill would express the Legislature’s intent to enact legislation relating to skilled nursing facilities.
