BILL NUMBER: AB 1802 INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Pan FEBRUARY 21, 2012 An act relating to housing. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 1802, as introduced, Pan. Housing. Under existing law, there are programs providing assistance for, among other things, multifamily housing, emergency housing, farmworker housing, home ownership for very low and low-income households, and downpayment assistance for first-time homebuyers. This bill would declare the intent of the legislature to enact legislation that would establish a pilot program to provide transititional housing and reentry services to defendants subject to Realignment Legislation regarding public safety. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would establish a pilot program to provide transititional housing and reentry services to defendants subject to Realignment Legislation regarding public safety.
