LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 1739, as introduced, Medina. Pupil health: mental health.
Existing law requires the governing board of a school district to give diligent care to the health and physical development of pupils and authorizes the governing board of a school district to employ properly certified persons for this purpose.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would promote mental health and the prevention of mental illness for California’s pupils.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would promote mental health and the prevention of mental illness for California’s pupils.
