An act relating to pupil instruction.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1392, as introduced, Chu. Pupil instruction: history-social science content standards: China-Burma-India Theater.

Existing law requires the State Board of Education to adopt statewide academically rigorous content standards as well as content standards specifically applicable to various academic disciplines.

This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would require the state board to adopt history-social science content standards relating to the China-Burma-India Theater of World War II.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would require the State Board of Education to adopt history-social science content standards relating to the China-Burma-India Theater of World War II.
