relating to public contracts.

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1353, as introduced, Fong. Public contracts: public works
projects: notice.
The State Contract Act requires that public notice of a public
works project be given by publication once a week for at least two
consecutive weeks, or once a week for more than two consecutive weeks
if that longer period of advertising is deemed necessary by the
department, as defined, in accordance with specified requirements,
and authorizes the department to publish the notice to bidders in
additional trade papers or newspapers of general circulation that it
deems advisable.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to this
provision.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.
