   An act relating to alcoholism and drug abuse.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1153, as introduced, Torres. Alcoholism and drug abuse recovery
or treatment facilities.
   Existing law provides for the licensure and regulation by the
State Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs of alcoholism and drug
abuse recovery and treatment facilities for adults.
   This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to establish
standards for the operation of adult alcoholism or drug abuse
recovery or treatment facilities.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would establish standards for the operation of adult
alcoholism or drug abuse recovery or treatment facilities.
