CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE—
2023–2024 REGULAR SESSION
Assembly Bill
No. 2865
Introduced by Assembly Member Wendy Carrillo |
February 15, 2024 |
An act to amend Section 51202 of the Education Code, relating to pupil instruction.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 2865, as introduced, Wendy Carrillo.
Pupil instruction: personal and public safety.
Existing law prescribes required courses of study in grades 1 to 12, inclusive, and requires the adopted course of study to provide instruction at the appropriate elementary and secondary grade levels and subject areas in, among other things, personal and public safety and accident prevention, including, among other things, health, including venereal disease and the effects of alcohol, narcotics, drugs, and tobacco on the human body.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.
