Summary

Transient occupancy tax; Arlington County. Removes the sunset date, July 1, 2018, from Arlington County's authority to impose a transient occupancy tax at a rate not to exceed 0.25% to be used for the purpose of promoting tourism and business travel in the county. Under current law, in addition this tax, Arlington County is authorized to impose a transient occupancy tax at a rate not to exceed 5%.
